Into This World series - 2022
The collage series Into This World – 2022 by Sam Jedig continues his long-standing exploration of fragmentation, historical layering, and media archaeology. In this body of work, collages are mounted on cotton canvas, reinforcing their tactile, painterly quality. Using found materials, printed remnants, and photo reproductions, Jedig builds dense visual fields that echo both personal and collective memory.
The works function as reflective pauses in the overstimulated image economy, offering subtle interruptions in our perception. Like earlier series, Into This World – 2022 draws from conceptual art and mail art strategies, forming a counter-narrative through dissection, recomposition, and quiet resistance.
